Americans eat nearly 8lbs of fresh strawberries a year. That sounds really healthy doesn’t it? But, did you know that conventionally grown strawberries tested as the number one offender for high levels of pesticides? This was the case even after the strawberries were picked, rinsed in the field and then washed prior to testing. The pesticides include chemicals that have been linked to cancer and reproductive damage, or that are banned in Europe.
